We just returned from a fabulous ship inspection Saturday, on the Carnival Freedom, at Port Galveston. We had a blast! Checking out this ship made us want to pack our bags and go! Allowed to board and have free access to the main parts of the ship, our first direction had us heading toward the rooms. Our inspection of the ocean view rooms on the Main Deck 2, was very eye opening. We were concerned that maybe the bottom floors might be a tad claustrophobic but it was just the opposite, it felt private, spacious, and probably my favorite choice for the price.
Moving to the Decks of 7 and 9 and viewing the Grand Suites (430 sq ft) and Junior Suites (310 sq ft), both of these had a very roomy balcony. The only thing we saw in the difference of these rooms were the size of bathrooms and dressing area. Both were very large and perfect if you have a family or just require more space. However, these balcony spaces are the first to fill up, so book early.
We viewed the pools, hot tubs, restaurants, casino and entertainment venues while wishing we just had more time to explore. Ending with a lunch in the Posh restaurant on Lido Deck 3, we must say you have to try the chocolate molten lava cake, it was to die for. We decided the next time we will definitely start with dessert. We highly recommend the Carnival Freedom Fun Ship and its right here in your own back yard – in fact, we booked our next cruise on this very ship, as always… Having a Great Time, Wish You were Here!
